In this series, Petra Arnold has created a moving time document of the city just before it was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. From those visits and stays Petra Arnold created a picture gallery of people, street life, portraits and live pictures of many jazz and blues musicians. The pictures are like mirrors to the soul of those portrayed. The zest for life, along with the death symbolism of New Orleans where art and criminality exist side by side, become apparent.
